About

Cayman Ilika grew up in the Seattle area and attended the Seattle Academy of Arts and Sciences. After graduation, she moved to Boston to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music. At Berklee, Cayman studied vocal jazz performance. She returned to the Seattle area in 2005 and began performing regularly in regional productions.

Cayman is a recognized presence in the local artistic community, having performed in venues throughout the Pacific Northwest.  Her performance history ranges in scale from small community-based productions to nationally recognized institutions such as the 5th Avenue, Village, and ACT theatres. She is also retained as a resident session vocalist for Demo My Song, a company that allows amateur song writers to have their work professionally produced.

She feels nothing but gratitude for a life in which she is able to pursue the art that is her passion. Whether life takes her to the pinnacle of fame, or simply allows her to entertain a local audience, the magic and wonder of the performance is always Cayman's driving ambition.

In 2008 Cayman married Gavriel Jacobs, a childhood friend, Marine Corps veteran, Stanford Law student, and the handsomest man alive. :) In 2012, they welcomed their first child, Theodore James Jacobs.
